No clinic is able to guarantee a 100% risk free zone, however, every effort is being made within Sports Recovery Kendal to mitigate infection risks of Covid-19 :
We are following guidelines issued by the government and the professional associations of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, the ISRM and Sports Therapy Association regarding safe and hygienic practice and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
We closely monitor our own health and take regular lateral flow tests to ensure that we are reducing the risk of spreading COVID-19.
what to expect from us.
A warm and friendly welcome upon arrival, we will check that you have completed the initial health screen to rule out any contraindications for receiving a treatment and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Your therapist will then complete an assessment of your presenting complaint and proceed with their treatment. Options will always be discussed with you.
Regular hand washing routines will be maintained and hand sanitiser is readily available within Sports Recovery Kendal.
Appointments are spaced to minimise contact with other clients attending for a massage and allow for additional cleaning between appointments.
In addition regular cleaning practice all door handles, work surfaces, chairs and other items used will be disinfected between clients.
Weather permitting the window in the treatment room will be open to increase air circulation.
Fresh towels are always used for each client and are washed to strict specifications to comply with infection control measures in relation to Covid-19.
What we expect from you.
Prior to attending you will be required to complete and return an initial screen form in relation to your general health and suitability to receive massage or soft tissue therapy treatment. This will be in the confirmation email you receive when booking. Please complete this with as much detail as you can. This allows us to reduce the in person appointment time and prioritise efficient hands on treatment where required.
If you are displaying COVID-19 symptoms, been advised to self-isolate or have been exposed to anyone in the last 7 days who has displayed symptoms of, or has, Covid 19 please contact us to rearrange your appointment.
Please note that Sports Recovery Kendal reserve the right to cancel appointments.
Please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible. Only use the telephone if ten minutes has lapsed from your appointment time.
We ask that you attend the door to our clinic where we will meet you. There is plenty of parking in the Mapdec carpark. Please note that our entrance is separate to Mapdec Cycle Works however you are welcome to wait in the shop during opening hours 10am - 6pm. Outside of these hours we will meet you at our door.
Wear appropriate, loose fitting, clothing and underwear. If you identify as female and wear a bra please wear one with a clasp at the back, especially if you are coming in with a shoulder, neck or back issue. Boxes will be provided for storing your clothes safely.
Face coverings: we ask that you observe and respect current government guidelines in relation to face coverings.
We accept all card payment, cash or online bank transfer. Please speak to your therapist who will take your payment if you have questions or require details for bank transfer.
